The world we live in today is incredibly "sharp." Trends change the moment we wake up, social media forces us into endless comparison, and the pressure to live a "God-saeng" (a productive life) keeps us running out of breath. Before we know it, our hearts become edgy, and we face moments of unexplained anger or helplessness. To avoid losing our true selves to the world, what we need right now might be a "moment of peace"—a chance to stop and catch our breath.

"THE POSTER BUSAN 2026" aims to deliver messages of comfort and positivity to everyone living in this era through the unique perspectives of artists. For all of us enduring the exhaustion of daily life, please gift us with "a moment’s rest and happiness" through your artwork.

Examination criteria and Announcement

• Examination criteria: Consistency of the theme, Creativity, Expression, Possibility of commercialization and completion of artworks.
• Judges: Organizer of The Busan Illustration Fair V.7, relevant fields of expert and employee
• Announcement of Winner: August 24 (Mon.), 2026.

*The result will be announced to the winner individually by email and posted on our official SNS channels.

*Final prize winning artworks will be uploaded on our official website.

Notices

• All entries must be purely original works, and works created using Generative AI are not eligible for submission and will be excluded from evaluation.
• If the use of Generative AI is confirmed after an award has been granted, or if the work is found to have infringed upon another person’s copyright, patent, design rights, etc., the organizer may cancel the award and reclaim all prize money and associated benefits. All civil and criminal legal responsibilities arising from such cases rest solely with the applicant, and the organizer shall not be held liable.
• Submitted entries will not be returned. For winning entries, the organizer may request permission to use the work for the production and sale of art merchandise (posters, postcards, apparel, etc.) in the future. All sales proceeds will be donated to social causes, and entrants who do not agree to these terms may be excluded from award consideration.
• In the event that a submission infringes upon the rights of others (copyright, portrait rights, etc.), the submitter shall bear all legal responsibility, and all awards will be revoked.
• Participation in this contest is restricted to individuals only; joint submissions by teams are not permitted.
• Works that have previously won awards in other competitions cannot be submitted.
• All intellectual property rights, including the copyright of the winning works, belong to the applicant.
• Entries that do not comply with the submission guidelines may be excluded from evaluation.
• If the submissions do not meet the evaluation criteria, the scope of awards may be reduced, and the on-site exhibition at the fair may be canceled.
• All schedules, including judging, awards, and announcements, are subject to change depending on the organizer's circumstances.
• Submitted works may be used for the purposes of announcement, exhibition, and promotion.
• Winners, finalists, and selected entrants must submit additional high-resolution images for future exhibition. If high-resolution images cannot be submitted, the selection will be canceled. </aside>
